The European Financial Regulation working group has responded to the public consultation launched by the European Commission with a view to a forthcoming regulatory initiative on innovation. In particular, the response underlines the need for a broad approach to the definition of innovative companies, for regulation that is attentive to the competitiveness of players, and for clear and effective tools and support programs to promote innovation in the European Union.
