PRESS RELEASE - SNCF Réseau launches the longest issuance of Green Bonds ever issued by a French company or agency

Paris EUROPLACE welcomes the new €1,000M Green Bond issuance, with a 17-year maturity, launched by SNCF Réseau, manager of the French railway infrastructure. The maturity of this Green Bond is the longest ever set by a French company or agency and this issuance with a maturity over 12 years is the largest in size ever launched by a European company or agency.

Following the success of its inaugural Green Program launched in October 2016, which enabled the company to become the first railway infrastructure manager in

the world and the first transport company in Europe to issue a Green Bond, SNCF Réseau confirms its commitment to the development of the Green Bond market and its contribution to the energy transition and to a low carbon economy.

Euronext Paris took the occasion of this issuance to organize a Bell Ceremony for the opening of the Markets in the presence of representatives of SNCF Réseau and Paris EUROPLACE.

This announcement is a new concrete step, fully in line with the “Paris Green & Sustainable Finance Initiative” launched by Paris EUROPLACE in 2016, which strengthens the leadership of the Paris Market Place in the field of green and sustainable finance.
