Paris EUROPLACE has welcomed more than 400 participants at the 20th Edition of its International Financial Forum in New York April 18, 2016. Three current thematics have been tackled (Brexit, issues after the COP21 & Fintech) with the presence of many representatives of the financial sector : institutional investors, corporate issuers, bankers, as well as a number of private equity and venture capitalist firms as well as the market authorities.
François VILLEROY DE GALHAU, Governor of Banque de France and Arnaud de BRESSON, Managing Director of Paris EUROPLACE, discussed the consequences of a potential Brexit while stressing the advantages that strengthen the attractiveness of the Paris financial marketplace.
François DELATTRE, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations, underlined the importance of the climate event in New York at the end of the week with the signature of the COP21 Paris Climate agreement, to confirm the States’ engagement in concrete actions to reduce their carbon footprint. Arnaud de BRESSON recalled the strong commitments already taken by the financial sector, at the occasion of the "Climate Finance Day" organized by Paris EUROPLACE in May 2015 at UNESCO headquarters.
The French Fintech expertise has also been showcased during the Forum with more than 1000 companies have already been created in France.
